Lucretia
Cotton-Cornell began formal ballet training at the age of
8. In 1991 she moved to Houston where she attended the
Houston Ballet Academy. By the year 2000 she had danced
with many of the independent dance companies in Houston,
received her B.A. in Theatre/Dance from University of
Houston, and choreographed for the Tony Award winning
Producer Stuart Ostrow and the Houston Shakespeare
Festival. She returned to the D/FW area to be near her
family and to inspire young dancers to want to learn more
about the movement arts. Her daughter attends LDA loves the
Hip Hop classes. She is unwavering in the devotion she
shows her students and started a performing company for
extremely committed students who are interested in
additional knowledge about dance and having more
performance opportunities.
